Understanding breath and awareness

Resources for exploring conscious breathing.

The Just Breathe journal explores holotropic breathing, breathwork, the parasympathetic nervous system, the diaphragm and normal breathing patterns, as well as the relationship between breath, the human body, meditative states and altered states of consciousness. It also looks at immersive approaches such as light stimulation and Dream Machine-style experiences, with clear attention to safety and appropriate precautions.

Articles may also address questions about shortness of breath, the feeling of not getting enough air, diaphragm tension, fatigue with minimal effort, or well-known methods such as Wim Hof. This content is educational and does not replace medical advice. Just Breathe is primarily based in Geneva and also offers remote formats, welcoming people from the wider region and beyond.
