The retreat combines stays in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe (for the first 2 nights and the last), and in the Chobe region of Botswana (for the rest of the retreat).

This unique journey is designed as a return to basics, where each day is punctuated by the sounds of the savannah, wellness practices, local traditions, tasty meals and moments of sharing and sacred silence.

Your accommodation

Fixed

Your fixed accommodation for 5 nights in Botswana, Munga Plains. Everything is designed to offer you a relaxing and rejuvenating experience. The facilities are carefully designed using three main materials: wood, thatch and canvas. This approach ensures minimal impact on the environment while creating a close bond with the surrounding nature.
For your mobile safari, we have chosen the premium concept with comfortable tents with beds, bush showers and ecological toilets.

Notre Programme
  • Day 1 – Arrival Victoria Falls
    Morning welcome at Victoria Falls airport, followed by transfer to hotel. The afternoon is devoted to exploring Victoria Falls and the surrounding area. In the evening, first meal, opening circle and gentle practice.
  • Day 2 – Victoria Falls and surroundings
    The day begins with a yoga class on the banks of the Zambezi River, followed by breakfast. Free time in the morning, followed by a visit to Victoria Falls and an e-bike ride. The afternoon is free to relax at the hotel or take a stroll. In the evening, yoga practice and dinner.
  • Day 3 – Transfer to Munga Plains
    After a morning yoga practice and breakfast, departure for Botswana. A mini-cruise with lunch on board is planned before arrival at Munga Plains fixed camp, where the group settles in for five nights. Yoga practice in the evening, before or after dinner.
  • Day 4 – Walking Safari
    Morning practice in the yoga shala, followed by breakfast. The morning continues with a traditional basket-making workshop. After lunch, free time at the camp. At the end of the day, departure for a walking safari, sunset over the plains, lunch in the bush and gentle practice before bedtime.
  • Day 5 – Safari in Chobe National Park
    The day begins with a morning game drive, followed by breakfast. A traditional drumming workshop with locals is planned for the morning. After lunch and free time at camp, departure mid-afternoon for a jeep safari in Chobe National Park. Return to camp, yoga practice and lunch.
  • Day 6 – Solidarity Day
    Morning practice, breakfast, then immersion in local life with a visit to a village and a school. Return to camp for lunch, then free time to relax, enjoy the pool or read. In the evening, traditional dances before dinner.
  • Day 7 – Jeep safari in Chobe National Park
    Early morning departure for a jeep safari in Chobe National Park. Return to camp mid-afternoon, time for rest, yoga practice and dinner.

    12-day extension – Mobile bush safari
  • Days 8, 9 and 10 – Savuti mobile safari
    Three-day immersion in the heart of the Savuti region, in the Okavango Delta. The program includes 4×4 safaris, comfortable mobile camps, sunset yoga practices, guided meditations, fireside dinners and nights under the stars.

    The trip includes an early morning departure from Munga Plains, transfer to Savuti, camp set-up, afternoon game drive, sunset yoga practice, morning game drive in search of predators, afternoon game drive, meditation and departure for Kwai with a final game drive and bush lunch.
  • Day 11 – Return to Victoria Falls
    Last wake-up call and yoga practice in the bush. After breakfast, departure for Kasane airfield for a scenic flight to Maun, lunch, then transfer to hotel in Victoria Falls. Free time, dinner and evening practice.
  • Day 12 – Yoga with elephants and departure
    Last session of yoga with elephants before transfer to the airport. Breakfast, then return to Switzerland.
Le Séjour comprend

Accommodation : 3 nights in a lodge at Victoria Falls (first 2 and last), then transfer for 5 nights to Munga Plains private fixed camp, where you’ll sleep in lodges that combine comfort with the opportunity to stay in touch with nature (Glamping tent). 3 nights on a premium mobile safari (optional), where each tent has its own shower and toilet, amid breathtaking scenery and the murmur of the African bush.

Full board: In collaboration with Tswana chef and author of Taste of Botswana, Ednah Rosen, you’ll enjoy healthy, delicious, seasonal African cuisine to nourish your body while respecting your dietary needs (vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, etc.).

Daily yoga sessions: In breathtaking landscapes, yoga classes for all levels, led by certified and experienced teachers, to harmonize body and mind.

Breathwork & Meditation: Guided Breathwork sessions to release stress, rebalance vital energy and find inner peace. These practices will improve your ability to concentrate and live in the present moment.

Cultural Excursions: Discover Botswana’s fascinating culture with tailor-made excursions. Visit Victoria Falls, explore by e-bike, take a mini-cruise on the Chobe National Park river, discover villages and local life, go on safari (on foot or by jeep)…

Cultural activities: Every day, we offer a variety of workshops. Basket-making, cooking class, traditional dance, percussion workshop, wildlife discovery…

Relaxation: Enjoy moments of relaxation and sharing in the camp areas of Munga Plains (swimming pool, bar, terrace…) all with breathtaking views of nature.

Time for yourself: free time to meditate, read, or simply enjoy the serene surroundings. The aim of this retreat is to reconnect with your essence, leave everyday distractions behind and refocus.

Premium mobile safari (OPTIONAL) Your camp is made up of comfortable tents with beds, bush showers, ecological toilets and an open-fire kitchen. A dedicated team takes care of the logistics, leaving you free to enjoy the experience to the full.

Autumn climate:
Autumn in Botswana (September, October) is a period of transition from the dry season to the rainy season, with increasingly high temperatures sometimes reaching 40°C in October. The end of the dry season and the decrease in vegetation make animals more visible.

Travel:
All your travel needs are taken care of. From Victoria airport and return.

Botswana entry formalities:
For Swiss citizens, a valid passport is required. No visa is required. Citizens of other nationalities should contact their local embassy or consulate for further information.

Entry formalities for Zimbabwe:

For flights, Victoria Falls airport in Zimbabwe (the nearest international airport to Munga Plains). You need to buy a double-entry visa online. Zimbabwe’s immigration services now require all passengers to complete the online immigration form before arrival; paper forms are no longer issued at the airport.

Health and vaccination
Health tip: There are no compulsory vaccinations for travel to Botswana, but it is always advisable to keep up to date with your routine vaccinations and consult your doctor.
Malaria: what you need to know
Malaria is present in certain regions of Botswana, particularly near Chobe National Park, although mosquitoes are less numerous during the dry season. To stay healthy:
Preventive treatment. Consult your doctor about anti-malarial medication. Start treatment before departure and continue as recommended.
Preventive measures. Use a repellent containing DEET, sleep under a mosquito net and wear long-sleeved clothing and pants at night.

Insurance:You are required to take out travel insurance (cancellation, repatriation, medical & assistance…) before departure.

Currency:Most payments in Botswana are made in cash, dollars or pulas…

Electricity, Telephone & Wifi: Remember to deactivate mobile data before arriving in Botswana if you don’t have an international package. Use Wifi only.

Gratuities:
In Botswana, gratuities are not mandatory but are appreciated for quality service. Amounts may vary, but we generally expect $10-20 per day for guides, $5 per day for trackers or lodge staff (via a “tip box”), and $1-5 for luggage carriers and transfer drivers. US dollars or euros are accepted, as well as Botswana pula.

  • Small rucksack (20-25 l) to carry day’s essentials on excursions and safaris (water bottle, camera, etc.)
  • A good pair of light, comfortable shoes (sneakers)

  • Lightweight, covering clothing (preferably cotton) for hiking and warmer clothes for the evening.
  • Gourd (possibly filtered to reduce the use of bottled water)
  • Moisturizing and sun protection cream (SPF 50)
  • A medical kit with your usual medicines (if you have any)

Payment :

  • A 50% deposit is required to reserve your place. To be paid directly to Béatrice.
  • The total amount of the stay must be paid no later than 60 days before departure.

Cancellation policy :

  • 5 months before departure 100% refunded
  • 4 months before departure 70% refund
  • Beyond that, our cancellation policy applies no refund. 100% of the retreat fee is due and you must contact your insurance company for a refund.
  • Any course started must be paid for in full.
    Participants are free to interrupt this support at any time if the need arises and if they so decide.
    In the event of early departure during the course, for whatever reason, the full cost of the stay must be paid.

Cancellation by the organizer :

The minimum number of participants is 6. Please wait for confirmation from the organizer before purchasing your plane tickets.

If the organizer cancels the holiday for X reasons (e.g. lack of participants) then you will be refunded in full.
